Annual Holiday - 2011

This year the residents went on a 7 day leisure and cabaret holiday to the Rainbow International Hotel, Torquay in Devon with National Holidays.

The Rainbow International resort-style hotel offers high standards of accommodation, cuisine, entertainment and service, all within a short stroll of the town, beaches and sparkling blue sea of the Torbay area.

The wide range of superb en-suite bedrooms includes family suites as well as catering for the more romantic at heart. others being large superior suites to suit the most discerning of tastes.

They are fully equipped with all the facilities the most experienced traveller would appreciate including tea & coffee courtesy tray, hairdryer, iron / trouser-press, colour television and direct-dial telephone.

The hotel has earned an enviable reputation for its cuisine - traditionally English with a touch of International flair. The light and airy Garden Room Restaurant serves full English breakfasts. At dinner the atmosphere is transformed by subtle lighting to enjoy your meal, chosen from a wide and varied menu, served by friendly and attentive staff, all complemented by fine wines.

After dinner, guests of all ages can relax and enjoy the hotel's excellent entertainment, performed on most evenings of the year, in the spacious Empress Ballroom and Bar or if you prefer, further entertainment is available in the Cabaret club - "Enjoy a good night in!"

Highly professional cabaret artists will not fail to entertain you with fun quizzes, bingo and singing to all your favourites - both old and new - as well as dancing right through 'till late.

At the heart of the Rainbow is a fully equipped leisure centre.

There is a multi-gym for both those with a serious ambition or those who wish to gently tone up, a sunbed for topping-up that all important tan and for complete relaxation guests can take advantage of the steam room.
